ASPLS Administrative Guide!!!: Executive Secretary Vicky Sterling has prepared an Administrative Guide outlining the duties of ASPLS Officers and Committee Chairs. A copy of the guide in .pdf format can be found at Administrative Guide (posted 11/27/03)

Updated Bylaws: The bylaws posted in the Standards of Practice section are vintage 1993 as they reflected the current status at the time of the printing of the 1994 SOP Manual. The current bylaws were most recently amended at the February 23, 2005 Board Meeting. They can be found at aspls_bylaws-2.23.05.pdf . (posted 11.09.08)

2002 Statute & Administrative Code Links: We now have a link on our ASPLS Directory (ASPLS Homepage) to selected Alaska statutes and administrative codes relating to surveying and mapping. The Alaska Statutes page consists of a series of links with pre-defined search parameters that will take you directly to the statutes and regulations that are most relevant to our profession. The search routines directly query the State Legislative Folio Infobases. Feel free to send you comments for improvements to this and other sections of the ASPLS website to the webmaster. !!! Note that the "statutes" document available for download from the Standards of Practice page are only updated to the 1998 version. The 1998 version is retained in order to be consistent with the current set of AKLS exam questions. !!!

1994 ASPLS Standards of Practice Manual: Another link on our ASPLS Directory (ASPLS Homepage) will lead you to the electronic version of the Standards of Practice Manual. ( ASPLS Manual ). All of the documents are in Adobe PDF format in order to best retain the original formatting. The relevant Alaska Statutes and Administrative Code have been downloaded from the Legislative Folio Infobase, formatted and indexed such that it is possible to printout a hardcopy for your reference. Note that this is a large file (approximately 2 MB) and does not include the annotations seen in previous editions of the manual. These annotations were discontinued due to copyright concerns.

Anchorage Chapter: The Anchorage Chapter meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Sourdough Mining Company, 5200 Juneau St. at noon..

Fairbanks Chapter: The Fairbanks Chapter meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Westmark Hotel at noon.

Valley Chapter (Mat-Su): The monthly meeting is on the last Wednesday of each month at the Wasilla Windbreak, at noon.
